Abstract
Cervical cancer remains one of the most preventable yet life-threatening cancers among women worldwide. This article highlights the critical role of awareness, early detection, and prevention in reducing cervical cancer related morbidity and mortality. It explains the nature of cervical cancer, major risk factors, early warning signs, and the importance of timely screening. Emphasis is placed on evidence based screening methods, HPV vaccination, and community involvement in overcoming barriers to care. The article also aligns with World Health Organization strategies, including the 90-70-90 targets, underscoring global efforts toward elimination. Promoting informed health choices, accessible screening services, and preventive vaccination can significantly reduce disease burden and save lives.
